CHILDREN'S BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Would your child like an exciting birthday party of the fun and laughter involved in block-printing this year?

Cara Tomi runs block-printing children’s birthday parties for an hour to a hour and a half, where your child and their friends draw, create and block print there designs onto a material outcome, then get to take their unique printed goodies home with them! In this practical hands on party, Cara will use her experience of print and teaching young years to guide the children through the process of creating there block print piece by indenting foam boards, rolling child friendly material print ink in a range of colours onto their blocks and printing their designs to life! The party will have a choice of items to print onto, including bags or t-shirts. I will then need half an hour to tidy up and get there printing ready to take home with them. I am adequately paediatric first trained.

Party size and ages:
I can cater for 4 -10 children per party (4 minimum children please) All school aged children are welcome and the party activities will be tailored to the particular age group.
Cost:
Prices start at £150 depending on the items that will be printed on and how many children per party - all materials included. This party can be run from your home, provided you have appropriate space.
Parties run in Bishop's Stortford and surrounding areas.
SCREEN-PRINT WORKSHOPS
Join textile designer Cara Tomi for a 1-1 or group workshop for a couple hours of screen printing and leave with a unique product designed and created by you!

You will explore screen printing, a historic craft still used today on textiles and paper.
Screen printing is an effective form of hand printing where you push pigmented ink through a fine woven silk screen using a tool called a squeegee onto either fabric or paper.

In this introductory workshop Cara will use her five years of screen printing experience to guide you through each step to creating your own designed and printed product. You will have the option to use one of her stunning mandala patterns or create your own stencil designs. This will also include your preference of printing onto ready made items, bags and cushion covers or material to construct into your own product at home. You will design your own pattern, choose and mix your chosen colours using pigments and screen print your design onto fabric using a paper stencil, a silk screen and squeegee.
Skill level:
Beginner- no printing and drawing experience necessary.

£50 per person – all materials included.
